Coaching isn’t “new" anymore.
Or is it?
When someone dares to say YES to themselves in the context of life and business coaching, it is a NEW, extraordinary day. This is a day of celebration—a day when all manner of things, both internally and externally, can begin happening.
I serve a small number of high-functioning, talented men and women who have determined that investing in a high level of listening, feedback, input, direction, and accountability is in service to their personal and professional transformation.
I work with committed individuals who are willing to move forward in their lives . . . even while fear is present. Whether we’re creating a new phase of our career, strengthening a marriage, learning how to expand our business, or becoming a more effective communicator and leader, fear is often part of the process. This can be especially true when we accept that our current way of operating is no longer serving us, or when we discover there’s a new dream, a new vision we are being called into.
Clients I work with accept that fear is not a good enough reason to not do something. That doesn’t mean I require my clients to not be afraid. Fear is totally fine, and absolutely part of any new endeavor. And — I’m not interested in being fascinated by fear, or allowing my clients to hang out in fear. Fear is just not that interesting. Uncomfortable - yes, compelling - yes, understandable - absolutely, positively yes. Interesting - not so much.
Together, we acknowledge fear and all the feelings associated with new territory, difficult conversations, and making changes. My clients learn and do the hard work to discover what it really means to be compassionate with themselves in the process. And, the agreement we make is that we don’t use feelings as reasons for not moving forward (even when we want to).
Over and over again my experience is that when my clients sit with me, bringing their lives into the quiet space where they can hear the voice of their hearts, miracles can occur—miracles of inspiration, fulfillment, creativity, deeper peace, joy, and real, tangible, long-lasting results. Results that range from new jobs, increased sales, and businesses launched, to stronger, more honest and caring relationships with oneself and others. Fear becomes a small story that is left behind, and a new story is written.
As partners we work together to forge new pathways in your life. In my own experience with my own coach, I have found that anything is possible . . . if I am willing to show up again and again and do the work.
